Shepherd Communication Inc. is a privately held Missouri company with 13 years of experience in software development for the Medicaid Industry. Over Thirteen years ago, we were encouraged by Missouri Medicaid Providers to produce an easy-to-use, cost effective, and time efficient software to aid in their electronic Medicaid billing. Since that time we have worked with the Medicaid Industry Providers to produce a comprehensive management package which encompasses Billing, Time and Attendance (Employee Call-In System), Scheduling, and Employee Management. Shepherd Communication offers the equipment and tools to help you and your business meet the demanding challenges and ever-changing requirements to provide Medicaid services efficiently and effectively. In response to the HIPAA privacy, transaction, and security requirements, in 2003, Shepherd Communication, rewrote and modified their existing software to be HIPAA-compliant in their transaction sets, recipient screens and reports to protect the client’s PHI. Shepherd Communication also developed a remote, off-site backup software that provides our clients with a Disaster Recovery Plan and on-site back ups of their Shepherd data in response to the requirements of the HIPAA security issues.
